Returning a Family Tradition once Lost….
Welcome to our webpage! We are proud and excited for what we have accomplished so far. We would like to share with you a little background story on how Rozsa’s Honey Apiary came to bee.
Story goes back to Hungary where our family had a large farm and on that farm we also kept bees. During times of communism, life was very hard and unjust. My great grandparents had lost the farm and the bees. My parents fled the country in the 80s refugee movement. My sister was 9 and I was 2 at the time. We found a new home called Canada. Having to start from scratch and learn an entirely new language was a challenge.
Today, we are proud to say we have returned some of our family history and tradition. We now have a hobby farm in Northumberland county where we now keep bees. Having started with 3 hives and using the kitchen to filter and jar the honey, to now 31 hives and stainless steel processing bee equipment. And this will continue to grow…!
Our family is blessed with two children, a son who is 2, and a daugther, who is 7. She loves honey bees and what they do. She was 5 at the time photo was taken, first time out in the yard to help me inspect a hive. And one day hopefully she will be the next new generation of beekeeping and carry on the family hobby farm here in Canada.

What We Do:
We do our best to care for our bees. We try to provide a less stress way of beekeeping while promoting a healthy hive.

Cleanliness - We always clean and sanitize our jars. It takes some extra work and time to do so but we want to offer a clean food product for our customers so they can rest easy.

Extra Care Shipping - We take pride and extra care when shipping your products to you. We understand the journey of boxes from our facility to your home may be a long journey and it may be tossed around in the truck, that is why we will take extra care and extra packing to make sure your product arrives in good order.
